Aquatic Invasive Species Team

Join the Eyes on the Water team and check shoreline, settlement samplers and docks for Zebra Mussels

Help perform Zebra Mussel veliger tows

Participate in the "Stop Starry" AIS program

Communications Team

Help manage the SLA Facebook page

Assist with newsletter article topics and creation

Aid in the distribution of educational materials regarding Natural Resource management and preservation at meetings, community events, etc.

Fisheries Team

Participate in the Quality Bluegill Initiative (QBI)

Investigate Zebra Mussel vs Walleye Fishery impact

Promote lead-free tackle & non-lead tackle exchange program

Research slot & bag limits

Explore grant programs to aid with funding fishery initiatives

Promote "Barbless Hook" initiative to support catch and release

Work with Realestate Agencies promoting SLA and distribute brochures

Work with Cass and Hubbard Counties on shoreline restoration and promote rain barrel installation, pollinator gardens and tree planting

Promote Score Your Shore and Lake Steward programs

Wildlife Team

Promote Loon Watcher Survey Program

Promote DNR educational information on loon management and conservation
